Saw his HC yesterday at the gym in north haven.......how are his grades? Thats been an issue with some of the prior ansonia rbs who put up crazy numbers after alex thomas.

Good point mike, this quote in the article above seems to spell that out:
"Newsome said Pasqualoni was pleased with the decision. "(Pasqualoni) told me to now start focusing on my
academics, getting my GPA and SAT scores up," Newsome said."

And I remember the Montrell Dobbs situation, Ansonia to Milford Academy to get his grades up, then he
couldn't get into Uconn even though he was a commit. Last I remember Dobbs ended up going to Temple
but I don't see him listed on their roster last time I looked. So hopefully Newsome gets ahead of the grade
situation, because Uconn doesn't play around no matter how good the player is.

I remember last year a 5 star WR who was a Clemson grad with eligibility left, committed to Uconn, but couldn't
get in.... though there he was about a month later accepted at Louisville. So hit the books young man !!!
