Took care of business like they should vs. Depaul at the sold out XL Center. Shot it well from 3 (except for the off night by Hawk). Moved it well (24 assists). Got a little sloppy in the 2nd half with TO's (10 of the 13 on the night) and soft on D ( gave up 40 after only 19 in the 1st), as DH mentions in the post game.
( ps. Hurley mentions he hopes Samson stays @ Uconn after not getting much run since being out injured for 2 months...but with the portal ???)

On to Nova for the reg. season final this SAT @ the 20,000+ seat Wells Fargo Center . Cats have been playing better with Justin Moore back from his injury......3 straight wins @ Xavier, vs. Creighton and @ Seton Hall.

Also interesting quote from AJ, since like Whaley and Polley he could use an extra year due to Covid.

During the 27-0 run in the first half (which I have not seen a 27-0 run by UConn against another Big East team in a very long time), UConn was really tuned in defensively and toyed with DePaul. We should keep in mind that DePaul has lost 11 in a row (hasn't won since January 18), sucks monkey balls, and all that mattered was getting the win which UConn did. Second half was sloppy, no intensity, and Joey C made 3 of the worst passes probably of his life. All of that being said UConn at times shows a very very high gear in which they look like they can beat anyone. I would like to see them put together two solid halves against Villanova. This game will be a very good test to see if they can win a tough road game.
