A lot of people on the board probably are not old enough to remember Louis Orr as a player at Syracuse, but I do. In the late 1970s he was a star/All American type player on a Syracuse team that also featured Roosevelt Bouie. They were called the "Louie and Bouie Show."
1979-80 was the very first Big East season, and the only season the Louie and Bouie Show would play in the Big East. The Louie and Bouie show led Syracuse to a regular season championship tie with Georgetown and St. John's at 5-1, and Georgetown would win the first Big East Conference Championship. Louie and Bouie were both All-Big East 1st team:

UConn finished 3-3 in that inaugural Big East season with just 6 conference games, a far cry from the 20 or so they play now.
