Looks like the Huskies are now a hot ticket again...... even vs. a non conference cupcake. ;)

Long Island U is struggling under former NBA All star and current 1st year coach Rod Strickland who took over the Sharks from Derrick Kellogg ( Former Umass player and coach). The long time NBA PG out of the Bronx and Depaul also spent time on staffs at USF and Kentucky. Size wise they match-up similiar to Uconn with only 1 player under 6-5.

They have a bunch of non-competitive losses, but their out of conference schedule has been fairly tough with road games against Utah, St. John's and Marquette, all of which blew them out. Their other losses were only slightly more competitive- all 7 losses were by double digits, and the win was over an NAIA team. Strickland, like fellow rookie coach Kenny Payne who is 0-8 at Louisville, has had a brutally rude introduction to coaching college basketball. I do not think either team was envisioned to be this bad by the ADs who hired these coaches, so they have lots of work to do.

The line on this game is -39.5. This is going to be a game in which Springs, Hasson and Roumouglu all will likely get decent, if not significant minutes. That alone should make the end of the game worth watching. Whether a 40 point win and cover will come down to Roumouglu or Hasson making a Free Throw is anyone's guess. I just hope we see these guys get in at the 10 minute mark of the second half or sooner.

Three concerts with this team.

1. turnovers when we play good teams. Newton and Sanogo are sloppy with the ball at times.

2. health. Like all teams with final 4 aspirations, we have to stay healthy.. Hawk and Sanogo come to mind.

3. are we peaking too early? We’ve had a history of underachieving all season and getting hot in March and making the ultimate late season run.

because right now, this group looks elite.

Green Bay Packers are off this week so their star RB decided to check out Storrs and his cousin, Tristen Newton.
