Zach Brown making unofficial visit to UConn

There were rumors that Brown would commit on his last visit in October, but that never materialized.

Brown is a top-20 player in the class of 2017 and, if he committed, would be the first highly-touted big man to come to UConn since Andre Drummond in 2011.

He will also be the first Jewish player of significance at UConn since Doron Sheffer, as Gilad Katz and Uri Cohen-Mintz never really panned out here. Here is a good story about his upbringing and background that appeared in USA Today last year:

Real odd timing for a visit. A weekday home game vs. Tulane in mid January.

Seems like a good sign for UConn nonetheless

His guardian, Michael Lipman, told me that they "might" go to UConn Tuesday for the game against Tulane. He said that his main purpose for being on the road is "recruiting for EYBL". I'd say that there is zero chance he would travel all the way to the Hoophall Classic with Zach and not come by UConn, especially since there is a game tomorrow.
