Charlotte Hornets sign Jeremy Lamb to 3-year, $21 million extension
And then he celebrates by leading the Hornets in scoring with 20 pts in a win over the Bulls:

Also Eastern Conf. player of the week... Andre puts up a ho hom ;)......25 pt 29 rebound effort vs. the Pacers:

ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo
ELIAS: Andre Drummond is 1st player since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (75-76) w/multiple 20-pt/20-reb games in the team's 1st 4 games of the season

now averaging : PTS 20.3 / REB19.5 ( and 57.6% FT's) in first 4 games

Drummond is averaging 19 boards per game which leads the NBA by nearly 6 boards a game:

He is also shooting a career high 45.7% on FTs. Granted the % still sucks, but it's a career high and at least he is out of the 29% he shot his one season at UConn. If he can get to around 50% he will get to the Shaq/Wilt level of suckitude on FTs, which would be substantial progress.

You would have to wait until he put up his worst stinker of the year to make your standard negative FT comments, LOL ! ...... 2-13- FT's friday night...but he did have some decent games "for him", 6-10 and 8-11 also this year and was at 58% b4 friday . FT's will always be an issue but I wonder how these GM's that passed on him are feeling now ? (Thomas Robinson ...SMH !.)

...also J-Lamb is 3rd on the Hornets in scoring in an early sample and is taking advantage of the chances OKC wouldn't give him last year, but with a new contract ext. at $7 mil a year compared to the $2.2 he made with the Thunder..... I'm sure he's in owner MJ's plans. Here's a look at his game in their win over Dallas.

Blades au contraire my comments were quite positive pointing out that the 45.7% FTs is a career high for Drummond. It's progress and all that matter is progress.

KSTW.... LOL ! Your FT comments have been a standard inclusion to any Drummond post or video I put up here the last few years despite some new level of decades old NBA achievement matching by him .... like I said LOL !.... I was just waiting for your mention and spin into " a suckitude level of FT's" comment which may be true but not unexpected....especially since you had Friday's effort to drop him below the Wilt mark ...;)...but if all else fails Dre could always try FT's underhanded....and I'm glad you meant it in a positive way !

Hey FT shooting is a part of the sport........and his progress is a news item although the main news item I posted is the 19 boards a game. Drummond is very clearly the best young rebounder in the NBA and I didn't think he would be that good. At UConn his freshman year he only had about 7 boards a game which Danny Hamilton bested last year as a skinny freshman. It's been a long time since anyone pulled down over 15 boards a game in an NBA season but Drummond might do it .......

I think there were some on this board and elsewhere (;) ) who even wrote off the 18 year old big ( who was still learning the game) as an NBA player.... especially after that Iowa St. debacle ( one game)... but whatever !

Don't bring up that Iowa State game.....horror show!!!!! Calhoun looked at that display and said "I am outta here......"

For Dre and his 5-1 Pistons just another day at the office: 29 pts...27 rebounds

Andre Drummond posted his third 20-point, 20-rebound game last night. The rest of the NBA has combined for one.

Really impressed with his low post moves in this one:

Watching that tape it does look to me like Mason Plumlee got abused. It looks like Drummond has developed a very nice jump hook shot but it would be nice to see him put up these kinds of numbers against someone like DeAndre Jordan or Dwight Howard. Portland isn't going very far if the best they can do is to put Plumlee on Drummond.

Here's a battle of the beasts from last year (18 Pts, 13 Rebs for Drummond- Jordan finished with 16 and 15 boards)

How bout waiting until Drummond actually plays DJ or Howard before complaining, dude just put up 29-27 and you really adding a caveat to his performance? Who else put up those numbers against the Blazers this year? You're such a clown.

Did you watch the tape? Can either of you guys seriously tell me that Mason Plumlee should even have been on Drummond???? The Blazers are a cheapass team that let LaMarcus Aldridge go and let Robin Lopez go and now they are asking Mason Plumlee to hold down the fort. It's idiotic not to view any stats amassed against that team through any other prism. I am trying to keep this discussion real. That being said Drummond has put up a bunch of 20-20s against multiple teams, which is very impressive, but let's be real dudes as to that game vs. The Blazers.

No actually KSTW he's in the fruckin' NBA and doing things that no one else is doing so your a whining phony when it comes to Drummond, but whatever, very expected from you.

You have no idea of what you are talking about, the Blazers offered Aldridge a max deal that was more than any other team could offer, he chose to sign with the Spurs. After Aldridge left the Blazers knew it would be much better to rebuild then paying someone like Lopez, who isn't even that great, 8 figures a year to hopefully get into the playoffs and be a treadmill team. They did the right thing and decided to blow it up. Again, tell me who else has put up those numbers against the Blazers front line? Are you going to provide an answer, or are you going to spout out more nonsense about a league you know nothing about?
