According to sources, UConn Baseball HC Jim Penders has serious interest in the job opening over in Ann Arbor. However no interview has occurred at this time.

The better is that the Wolverines are targeting an MLB coach at the moment, but Penders is near the top of the list.

I’m told that there has been definite contact between Penders and Michigan, however no official interview has occurred yet.

Also Warde did NOTHING for the Uconn BB program and Penders while he was at Uconn ( even after Springer, Matt Barnes and Nick Ahmed's crew made it to a super regional), so to think that they are "best buds" as the Michigan writer seems to be trying to portray, nothing could be further from the truth.

Yep, like I said....nothing to see from a kid with a keyboard @ Michigan Rivals....Penders and his teamates, former alumni like Doug Elliot, etc,etc ...worked to hard and to long to leave something the Uconn Fam built together.( with zero help from Manual while he was at Uconn waiting for his next job).
