I am guessing it will probably be Evers. Mora said that Evers does need to clean up his running so as to dive rather than slide at the end of runs so he stops taking big hits. Hopefully we see more of that this week.

UConn is -16.5 I believe on Fan Duel, but Zanetto urged his listeners to give the points because he guarantees UConn will win by 30. I hope nobody took that statement to their bank and wagered their weekly pay, but we will see what happens.

Yep +30, is a little over the top but all I can say is out with the old and in with the NEW SCHOOL ! ( POINTS on the Board )

Bobby Wilson said on Locked On the Temple starting QB has shown an ability to move the team but has a shoulder injury and is questionable. The back up is the former starter who was benched early in the season because of excessive TOs.

Wilson said Temple's D, especially their rushing D, is weak (1350 rushing yards allowed) so this could be another game where Edwards and Robinson both go over 100 yards.

Wilson also said he has watched Temple play and they are undisciplined and take a lot of penalties.

True, but the deeper dive into those rushing yds allowed, is Temple has had both Army and Navy games so far in the AAC. Those teams are extremely run heavy option teams and pass less than 10 times a game so that total is a little skewed. Mora said he can't even look at either of those games ( they played Army last week) for scouting purposes.

I personally wouldn't mind if Evere plays the first half and then assuming UConn has enough of a lead, let Fagnano play the second. Fagnano has some good stats- 10 TDs against 1 INT in limited action this year, and 55 against 14 for his career. This is very good.

Don't drink the Kool-aid Uconn !
I believe it is safe to take a few sips. It is not Jim Jones Kool Aid.
"Marceline Jones made a broadcast on the public address system, stating that everything was all right, and asking residents to return to their homes. During this time, aides prepared a large metal tub with grape Flavor Aid, poisoned with diphenhydramine, promethazine, chlorpromazine, chloroquine, chloral hydrate, diazepam, and cyanide.

The concoction was prepared with the help of Jonestown’s in-house doctor, Larry Schacht, a Texan native and former methamphetamine addict who got sober with the help of Jones, who subsequently paid for his college education to become a doctor. Schacht had been researching the best ways for a person to die in advance of the foreseen mass suicide.About 30 minutes after Marceline Jones' announcement, Jim Jones made his own, calling all members immediately to the pavilion......

According to escaped Temple member Odell Rhodes, the first to take the poison were Ruletta Paul and her one-year-old infant. A syringe without a needle fitted was used to squirt poison into the infant's mouth, after which Paul squirted another syringe into her own mouth. Stanley Clayton also witnessed mothers with their babies first approach the tub containing the poison. Clayton said that Jones approached people to encourage them to drink the poison and that, after adults saw the poison begin to take effect, "they showed a reluctance to die".

The poison caused death within five minutes for children, less for babies, and an estimated 20–30 minutes for adults. After consuming the poison, according to Rhodes, people were then escorted away down a wooden walkway leading outside the pavilion. It is not clear if some initially thought the exercise was another White Night rehearsal. Rhodes reported being in close contact with dying children."

Strangely enough I know all to well about the Jonestown incident. Since my first career was in Public Safety for the State of CT and included FBI mass disaster training. One of those was the such named settlement and involved the infamous beverage :(

Although that was not what we were expecting, we got the best ending to a UConn FB game ever!!!!!' 2 stops from the 6 inch line and then fumble return for 96 yard TD? You gotta be kidding me with that ending.

Does anyone know why Evers did not play? I thought at various points in the game when the offense struggled, he would be in the game. Was he concussed after all? Nobody had been using that word.

I think he said they wanted to give Evers more time but he would be ready to go for Wake Forest after the off week. Also a big factor was 2 of the best offensive weapons, Skyler Bell and Cam Edwards got banged up (being out) in this game. Haven't heard an update.

Highlights from the AAC....Uconn now 2-0 vs. it's former conference with 2 games to go ( Rice and UAB )

To me Fagnano showed why he is a backup yesterday. Although he was productive from a yardage standpoint, he had Skylar Bell wide open for a TD and threw the ball around 10 yards over his head. He missed some other passes as well. The TD by Sheffield was all Sheffield's work, and his blockers. I would like to see if they can develop Evers' passing. From what I have seen of him he has a strong arm, on intermediate throws.

+1.... and Fags made the game alot easier for Temple's D because he doesn't have the RPO ability of Evers. Plus he fumbled it away on 1 play. Fags did make the play of the game on offense though when he scrambled away from a would be sack on 3rd and 10, to hit Buckman for the 32yd pass on that game winning drive, with 3 minutes and change to go.
