SNY- UConn football: Diaco changing the culture
"Diaco doesn't want to assimilate into the culture here, he wants to transform it."
"The first thing you notice is the paint, the second is the hip-hop music during pregame stretching, and then the practice.The first 20 minutes of Diaco's first practice were frenetic. Players have perpetual motion during Diaco's practices, that
are going to last 1:30 to 2:00 hours max this spring. The coaches, led by Diaco, are all animated and energetic. Diaco
wanted to shock the team with energy on Monday and he thinks he accomplished that. The goal isn't only conditioning,
he wants players to be able to think while tired. The practices were loud and chaotic, something much different than the
endless repetitions to perfection from the previous regime."
