I was going to hold off on this stuff yestrday because of more important stuff, but yeah I saw the OTL Sunday morning and the reported info.....Pitino if he keeps lying is gonna look real bad if McGee finally flips on someone and it's him......
"They've spent a lot of time trying to, I think, discern who provided the funds to pay for the parties," Wilder said, when asked about the focus of NCAA investigators. "I think that they conclude, much like Ms. Powell has said, that certainly Mr. McGee did not have the financial wherewithal to fund these events that were taking place in Minardi Hall."
If nothing else you have to give that sneaky clown Pitino credit..... he knows how to spin a press conference....The way he brought up the poor kids and the sympathy angle and all the evils of the system....like somehow he was also a victim.... while his staff is jobbing the system for recruits ...and like I said before this latest OTL...So what about all this the money that was given to recruits ?????
Didn't Rick suggest this should all just go away with more money ??....a big fat fine the school could pay for his programs dirt ? so he could walk...what a snake....
Hey Rick, this ain't a few bad grades and some transfers who didn't do their schoolwork....or the NCAA changing the passing grades on a" test" 6-7 years after it was taken so they could ban some kids ( Bazz and Co. who had nothing to do with it)......this is your boys making it rain for a bunch of kids, throwing recruits dirty cash and runnin' a pimpin' service in "your house".....
From ESPN:
The three recruits who met with NCAA investigators also provided information about the amount of money they were given by McGee at the parties to tip the dancers who stripped, the source close to the investigation said. "It's a pathetic story," the source said. "McGee gave the players a stack of dollar bills ranging from $200 to $500. Everybody in the room got the money -- the recruits and the current members of the team. Not only that, but McGee himself had his own stack of dollar bills. If this guy's spending $2,000 to $3,000 on a recruiting weekend, where's this money coming from? "
Pitino has been so predictable through all of this:
First he denies: "I can't find one person, not one, that knew anything about it," a visibly angry Pitino said in January.
Then he blames the messenger: During that same media session, Pitino said he was "pissed off at ESPN" for giving Powell a forum.
Like I said Rick shouldn't have a job:
When asked about the degree to which Pitino has taken responsibility for the issues within his program, the source with knowledge of the NCAA investigation told ESPN: "He's not accepting any responsibility over several years. This is not a guy who is turning his head to academic fraud; this is much worse than that. If any other coach was connected to this story, by now he'd have already been fired."
