UConn Men's Basketball Remains In Good Standing in Academic Progress Rate

* The UConn Men's basketball program's Academic Progress Rate for 2014-15 was 957 and its four-year rolling average is 978.

* The UConn football team had a 990 for 2014-15 and is at 968 in the latest four-year stretch.

* The UConn women's basketball team scored a 980 for 2014-15 with a four-year average of 983.

A little more on the APR around the AAC:

The mark needed to avoid penalty from the NCAA overlords recently went up from 900 to 930, so all of UConn teams are in great shape. Football's 969 was tied with Baseball for the lowest among Husky teams, but we know that is on the way up for football given how well Diaco's teams have been doing in this regard.

Around the American, some schools' major teams are teetering at the line. ECU (943), Tulsa, Houston (both 944), and SMU held the lowest scores in AAC Football. The same four schools had the lowest in Men's Basketball, with scores of 932, 941, 944, and 939, respectively.

This weekend, four UConn seniors, Phil Nolan, Omar Calhoun, Sam Cassell Jr. and Nnamdi Amilo, will graduate on time with their classes, and two others, grad students Sterling Gibbs and Shonn Miller, will receive their master's degrees less than one year after enrolling at UConn, both making honors.
