The gruff but lovable Huggy Bear, whom UConn will see on December 8 in the Big East-Big 12 Challenge when UConn travels to Morgantown to face his very good West Virginia team, has made some controversial comments about replacing the NCAA tournament. I do not think this will happen any time soon, but Huggins is right that this is exactly what is done in college football, and it has not changed the popularity of that sport, even though for the past 7-8 years it was mostly the same teams every year involved in the playoffs:
