Even in the 2 losses Rutgers and Cincy played competitively for most of the game

Very impressive wins by UCF and Louisville....

Hopefully UCONN goes bowling as soon as next season and keep building/winning!!

Very true Ozzie and it's been that way for years with the BE and now AAC football, despite what the national media
will spin over and over. Sorry to plagiarize a post and some stats from TOS but it's right on point:
Farewell to BCS - Things change, yet stay the same. What pisses me off the most is those former catholic school ( BE hoops only) leaches who held back BE football until
the money wasn't good for them any more. And what could have been if the BE football playing presidents could have seen through the 2 Providence College lapdog commissioners who never looked out for anything other than what helped PC hoops.

The Big East always had a better future than the ACC in football and still would've if they had kicked out and split from Notre Dame and those Catholic hoops whores years ago. The Catholics even voted to keep Penn St out in the 90's. But at the end of the day we know it's all about who sells the most tickets for these "non-profit bowl entities" and who ESPN, TV and the media want to hype. Because the on field product never compared when the games where played. Whether it was your boys from the U, the good WVU teams or expansion teams who we gave a format to like the Ville and now UCF, someone always stepped up. I know it's revisionist history but at the end of the day it's a shame that no one had the vision and schools like Uconn got left behind listening to a couple of shills like Tranghese and Marinatto from a mediocre hoops school that only won one thing in 34 years .

But here are the numbers:

"To recap 1998-2012 BCS era "
"Big East football in all bowl games: 46-29 (61.3%) BCS bowls: 8-7 "
( now 9-7 and when you add UCF's win)
"ACC football in all bowl games: 49-55 (47.1%) BCS bowls: 3-13 "

The big picture going forward as the post above says is:
THE AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE AS A BUSINESS ENTITY CANNOT LET THE MEDIA WORLD DEVALUE
ITS FOOTBALL PRODUCT THE WAY THAT THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE DID.

Especially now that "The Greed is Good 5" has stolen all the TV money, Bowl money and games.

And Uconn has to get it's football program back on track as of yesterday. Which was phenomenal as a FBS newbie until
we let a basketball team manager for Lefty Driesell( Hathaway) hire 2 energy vampires( PP and GDL) to run our FB team.

Yea great stuff Blade and all true. I even recall Sean McDonough saying as much on the broadcast. Basically sticking it in every ones face... saying good for the American conference and even mentioned how the Old Big East did very well and went 9-7 with UCF win the other night in the BCS. 9-7 in BCS games is impressive for what many called the Big Least and now American

Just improve UConn football and get it into the Big 10 or part of this new and coming expansion where the 5 are all going to 16 teams ASAP please!!! :)

Im confident our day will come and sooon
