Over the past few days ESPN has posted previews of SMU and Cincinnati. They are only previewing power 5 conference team and those teams outside the power 5 that could make noise on the national stage. Here is the Cincy preview:

I think Cincy could be very good and will be right up there with SMU and UConn at the top of the AAC. The conference will be very top heavy this year and I believe that could hopefully help the RPI of the AAC teams. This is the year for the AAC to make noise in the NCAA tournament.

ESPN hasn't posted the UConn preview yet but I believe that will be coming soon.

Pathetic non-conference schedule if you ask me. We should have ZERO game against sub 200 teams within the non-conference tilt.

Newer story with more regarding scheduling, the AAC and the future:

“We want to play a national schedule,” McCarthy told the Courant. He said discussions continue to renew deals with former Big East foes Syracuse, St. John’s and Villanova. Those could be three-game deals that include neutral games in New York. A future series with Arizona is already set.

" The quest to remain relevant in college basketball’s big-time arena has not been simple for the Connecticut Huskies."
