UConn hires Chicago Bears' Dunn as offensive coordinator
The school says Dunn, who will also coach the quarterbacks, agreed to a two-year contract worth $300,000 per year. He has worked with Edsall before, serving as his tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at Maryland (2011-15). Dunn was John Fox’s offensive quality control coach with the Bears during the 2016 season and was an offensive assistant in 2017. Edsall says Dunn believes in an attacking no-huddle offense that uses multiple tempos, personnel groupings and formations.
Played at UNC from 2001-03, as quarterback and tight end before a neck injury ended his career. After the injury, he served as a student assistant (2004) before being promoted to an offensive quality control coach (2005) and finally an offensive graduate assistant (2006-07). Prior to joining Maryland, Dunn spent three seasons at LSU.
