Uconn FB schedules home & home w/ a B1G opponent

Blades, Your take..., As Referred to on one of the Hockey Posts, is this all part of some long term "Master Strategy" for down the road, or is it just because of our AD's Big 10 ties?

Uconn can only control what they do in their own AD and profile as far as future CR. I heard the FB donor Burton
even mention donating/hiring for a position or 2 that spends time only on CR. So there is always gonna be speculation
like on TOS for what moves will lead to the promised land and ticket out of the AAC. Everything Uconn have done so far from
AD expenditures financially with
power conferences )[/B] to academically as a top 20 public has been at a higher level than many of these so-called
Big 5 schools. So as Manuel states in the article above I'm sure he feels Uconn should be in a Big 5 moving forward
so I'd hope he has a master plan.

With the Tennessee FB series in limbo Warde adding another higher profile series with a " Big 5 " opponent in Illinois
is probably just a small part of his plan. In the mean time the CR speculation will continue like on this board:
