Two of UConn's 2021 commits are already finding chemistry together on the court. Rahsool Diggins and Samson Johnson teamed up together at the SLAM 16 game in the Bronx this weekend:

Johnson was named MVP with a double-double and six blocks, per Adam Zagoria.

Highlights from Diggins:

Diggins and Johnson were also invited to the Pangos All-American Festival in Phoenix on Nov. 7-8. Some notable players to play in the festival in the past are Deandre Ayton, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, Russell Westbrook, Bradley Beal, Emmanuel Mudiay, Trae Young and Kyle Lowry, to name a few.

  • Rahsool Diggins': 15 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds.
Some notable quotes on Johnson:

“His upside is huge,” one source close to UConn said.

Said Patrick School coach Chris Chavannes: “Samson Johnson reminds me of DeAndre’ Bembry. They are both hard workers and get better and better every day. We have been blessed to have an abundance of talent over the past eight years as The Patrick School.

“I think Samson’s ceiling is as high or higher as any player I’ve coached. He has been very consistent through the summer and fall. I don’t think there is a player in the state that can impact a game on both ends in as many ways as he can.”
