Just a few thoughts:

1). Was at the game and it is such a fun atmosphere for UConn fans! If you can go don't miss it in the future, especially against rivals like Syracuse. Would love to eventually schedule a game against the likes of UK, UNC, Kansas, and Duke (though they would never play us at MSG) in the future. Its fun for fans and players.

2) MVP honors go to 3 individuals:
- Kentan: 13 rebs (career high) while battling a stomach virus and puking during the game that is UConn tough right there!

- KO: Great defensive strategy. KO has always had an elite defensive unit regardless of his personnel and this year is no different. We are currently ranked 37th out of ~350 teams and we are only going to get better as the season progresses.

- Purvis: Came up with some big 3s when we needed it, made all is free throws, and grabbed some good boards. Hope this performance boosts his confidence and he can be the leader that we need out on the court.

3) Jalen in my mind is the most talented player on the court whenever he plays basketball. He has improved in many areas including the following:

- Asts: he has doubled his asts per game form last year
- Reb: he has doubled his rebounding
- Pts/gm: scoring 10 more pos per game compared to last year
- 3pt shooting: shooting 44% this year up from 27% from last year

Yes some of this has to do with him playing more minutes but its also because he has become a better player. However he needs to be more aggressive in driving to the rim. He is most effective when he is determined to get to the rim. He can keep start a drive and then pull up for a fadeaway mid range shot or toss up a floater. He is doing well so far in his sophomore campaign but he has even more potential to become an even better player.

4) The game is another step forward in the right direction. Even after the loss Syracuse is still a top 30 KenPom team. That was a really good win for UConn. The BU win was the first step in the right direction and this Cuse game was an even bigger step to where we want to end up being!
