OT: Steph Curry Sets NBA Game, Season 3 Point Records vs. OKC

It's kind of interesting that Curry tied the record with Kobe and Donyell because those 2, while streaky and somewhat competent 3 point shooters, are not in the same league as Curry.

This is the one thing that separates Curry from his counterpart on OKC, Westbrook. Although Westbrook is a great transition player and serious triple double threat every time he takes the court, he is a deficient 3 point shooter. The NBA is now a 3 point shooter's league. Curry is shooting around 46% of his 3s and many of them are launched from way behind the line. It wouldn't effect him as much as others if they moved the line back 1 or 2 feet.

You can't move the line back without making the court larger on the sides. There no room as it is in the corners. That would also entail seats being lost courtside which equals less revenue

UConn Family,

I agree with you but Mark Cuban, a guy who sits court side, wants the 3 point line moved back. Probably he is frustrated that his team has no point guard and the other teams are lighting up his Mavs with 3s.

I see no reason to move it back. If a guy is hitting 46% from the NBA 3 line it's because he is a remarkable shooter. It's the same thing as baseball teams overreacting and moving fences back after their pitchers started giving up a lot of homers. You tailor your team to your ballpark not the other way around.
