It was unreported why he left, it was mentioned that he "transferred this summer", he wasn't on the 2-deep to start camp
and he had a JR starter( McQuillan ) and a RS Fr (Tommy Myers) in front of him. But double TE sets could be a big part
of the power offense Diaco will run, so it seems he would've had plenty of chances to get on the field with guys shuffling
in and out/ or injuries. Uconn will only have 2 true FR( one who's really an OT) as back-up TE's, behind the guys above
this year.
Don't like to speculate but it could be other reasons or that he wasn't retained, seeing that it's now up to 10 players
with eligibility left, more than half that were starters/regulars, who've been part of the house cleaning or left this new
staff for various reasons.
