If you analyze Shonn Miller's stats this season as compared to what they were at Cornell, he seems to be a completely different player:

For one thing, Miller's FG% has skyrocketed from 43.4% last year to over 58%. It's pretty easy to see why. He is not jacking that many 3s, and is instead playing close to the hoop and taking easier shots, which he can make. However, when he does hoist the occasional 3, he hits at 41%, so he is picking his spots nicely.

At the same time, he is averaging 3 less rebounds per game at UConn than the robust totals he had at Cornell last year (possibly because Hamilton is grabbing so many, but that is not the whole story). He is also averaging a Johnnie Selvie-like 0.5 assists per game. Selvie, who averaged 0.3 assists per game in his UConn career, was frequently criticized for his extremely low assist totals. It's acceptable that a lot of times when Miller gets the ball, he is looking to score, and the 58% FGs attests that he is taking good shots, but at the same time it's not the case that nobody else is open when he gets the ball and the defense converges on him. Miller had twice as many assists per game last year, and even those totals were low.

Selvie, although not quite the athlete that Miller is, averaged similar rebounding totals.
