He had success way before NIL- I think he just got tired of having to deal with it. Losing 8 players from the Final 4 team, who were bought by other schools, likely deflated him:

If you have too many guys who are pure hired guns it's going to backfire on you.....that's the lesson to be learned here. You need to have guys who want to work and be developed. Teams rostered with pure NIL guys will never be able to stay together long enough to win anything.

If Larranaga was a casualty of NIL ( I say no because "he was part of the pay for play" and doesn't get to the FF in 2023 with out it)....now we have a new group that claims "victim".... that are a different version of NIL casualty as well.

This is potentially BIG but also not surprising since we already saw this play out with UNLV football where the starting QB did not get the 100K he was promised and pulled the plug on UNLV and entered the portal after 3 games. The FSU "victims" all entered the transfer portal as well but meanwhile this is one of the first lawsuits alleging breach of NIL promises to pay. It will not be the last!
