I really do not understand why they do not wait until the end of the NCAA Tournament to start the 30 days? It's like an artificial penalty on teams still in the tourney after the 2nd round and slated to lose a bunch of veteran players. Someone is going to have to explain to me the reasoning behind this:

The NCAA's Division I Council has voted to shorten the transfer portal windows for football as well as men's and women's basketball, and in all sports, players will continue to get an additional 30-day transfer window in the event of a coaching change.
