These teams were deliberately paired to play each other by the NCAA selection committee knowing the teams refuse to play each other in the regular season in a dispute over whether the annual games should be home and home or on neutral courts. So the NCAA has forced them to play each other on a neutral court. I like when the NCAA selection committee does these kinds of pairings, even possibly dropping this seeds of one or both teams so that the pairing could happen.
