Boston College vs. UConn

Read about this a few days ago but really who cares one way or another...Uconn's already got 2 ACC( 1 former BE) opponents.. lined up ...coming to the Rent next year...after the Umass game....: 2016: September 10, at UMass (Gillette Stadium Foxborough MA); September 17, Virginia ; September 24, Syracuse.....

I'd be more than fine if BC wants to continue with their grudges. Uconn can keep scheduling with the B1G who says BYU, ND, Cincy, UConn are Power 5 opponents. or the SEC , Boise, BYU or whoever.... While the good father up north can keep doubling up on FCS schools with his head in the ground. If Warde does bail them out for 2016, he better have a return game set in stone or what's in it for Uconn ?

Well it looks like the 2 former Michigan players Warde Manual and BC AD Brad Bates have an agreement close to fixing BC's scheduling problem for 2016, according to the former Boston Globe writer. Uconn drops the Umass game at Gillette in 2016 and now as I posted above has 3 ACC games scheduled in 2016( does this make them a partial ACC member like Notre Dame, LOL !) and ..... Uconn gets a return game in East Hartford with BC in 2017:

* Link: BC - Uconn for 2016 almost set
" The key of course, is the resumption of BC vs. UConn, which will start next November at Alumni Stadium. The Eagles will return the trip in 2017, take a few years off and then resume the schedule on an regular basis."

I'd also assume Uconn needs to drop the Umass home game in 2017 for that BC home game since they already have a full 4 game OOC schedule set. ( Below), unless they want to drop the FCS game vs. Holy Cross.

Blauds says: UMass and UConn are also expected to play each other on a regular basis as part of an overall plan to have the three New England FBS schools develop a rivalry of games. Fuller at the New Haven Register chimes in with the Umass angle and a report of a future 4 game series with them. It doesn't mention the 2017 Umass at Uconn game but it says "UConn 2016 dropped but teams will play in 2018, 2020 at Storrs( the Rent) and 2019, 2021-Gillette Stadium:

Here's a current look at Uconn's future schedule,( home in blue) ( adds/changes) in the articles that have yet to be announced by the schools:
2016: September 3, Maine; (September 10,drop at UMass (Foxborough MA); September 17, Virginia ; September 24, Syracuse ( add at BC November 19 )
AAC games- Home: UCF, Cincinnati, Temple, Tulane...Away: East Carolina, Houston, Navy, USF

2017: (September 2, drop home vs. Mass, )September 9, Holy Cross; September 16, at Virginia; September 23, Missouri. (add home vs. BC November 18)
2018: August 30, Rhode Island; September 8, at Boise State, September 29 at Syracuse...........(UMass )
2019: September 7, Illinois; September 21, at Indiana..................... at UMass (Foxborough MA).....(FCS ? )
2020: September 12, at Illinois; September 26, Indiana................. (UMass )...(FCS ? )
2021: at UMass (Foxborough MA).....(FCS ? )
2022: UConn at BC
2023: BC at UConn

UConn and Tennessee have a two-game home-and-home series under contract with dates to be determined.

Couple of other thoughts" Umass's road games to East Hartford (54 miles ) are closer than their "home games" at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA (92 miles)
Likewise Uconn's road games to Gillette Stadium( 70 miles) are closer than Umass's "home games"

Also will Uconn stick with one FCS game a year from 2019 on.... if they have Umass (a northeast local ) on the schedule or beef up the home schedule ? If not Uconn's OOC schedule is done minus the FCS teams until 2021.
