Congrats To Joey C. On NABC Honors, Masters Degree

Congrats to a guy who got the job done on the Court and in the classroom:
Joey C takes a masters degree and a national championship ring back to California, and will be fondly remembered by UConn fans for the scoring and outside threat he provided off the bench. When he returns to CT, he will very likely never pay for a meal in this State for the rest of his life.

Team to beat: UConn

Nowell’s recruitment is near its conclusion, as the four-star point guard will announce his commitment on July 23. A handful of different programs have looked like legitimate options for the Philly-based guard over the last six months, as both Tennessee and Georgia Tech have made pushes at different times this spring.

It’s UConn, however, that feels like the leader as we speed toward decision day. Things aren’t particularly likely to change between now and Sunday, but stranger things have happened in recruiting. Still, Dan Hurley and his staff should be optimistic to say the least.

Soccer @ the RENT ???

IN Season ????....Can't NYC FC find another venue in NY ??? ...... didn't Rentschler Field management learn their lesson the last time they used the venue for another team in the middle of Uconn's football season ?....( remember that thing they called the UFL ? ). I hope the field and markings look better than it did after it was beat up playing those games. Luckily it's being played in a 2 week window between home games...

"New York City FC’s MLS regular season home game on September 23 has been relocated from Yankee Stadium to Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT...Pratt & Whitney Stadium, has hosted multiple U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Team games ....For Sporting Director Claudio Reyna, it was the best option to replicate a NYCFC home game. Reyna told NYCFC.com: “Pratt & Whitney Stadium is a great venue for us due to its wonderful playing surface and facilities."

OT- Ionescu Record Setting 3 Point Shooting Performance

This is the best shooting performance in the history of NBA and WNBA 3 point shooting contests, and honestly the best shooting performance I have ever seen. Prior to this season, she was not even a particularly good 3 point shooter in the women's game. She was known more as an all around player and triple double threat. This season she is shooting 44.6% from 3, after never shooting north of 35% her prior 3 seasons. Obviously, she has worked on her shooting, and the work showed up in this performance in a very big way:
