Uconn adds another veteran depth piece from the portal...I guess DH is trying to keep up with Geno's roster #'s...;)

Alec Millender.....PG.....6-1/185....GR.....Chicago, IL

He's already spent 5 years in CBB... GR from the Horizon League who spent 1 year in D-1. ( after 4 years in D-2 ... looks like 1 RS YR/1 Covid YR) His best stat # is he shot 43.5 on 3's.... (along with 3.7 assists )..last year.

Only in number of bodies. Geno has 15 players who are all high division 1 talents, every one. I do not think Dwayne Koromo, Jacob Ross or Alec Millender are in the same class as what Geno has occupying depth chart #11-15 on his roster, who all have a chance to be great players at UConn.

I salute Ross, Koromo, and Millender, because they know they will not play much but want the chance to wear the UConn jersey, be good practice players and maybe get a few minutes here and there in blowout wins. And if it is something more than that it will be gravy.

Yeah it's to bad alot of em' will be members of the bench brigade...( but then again how will anyone know when all they get to do is run their high 5 routine from the side lines?) ....like I said I doubt any of these girls are math geniuses, if that's the case, LOL!
But good for Geno, it's probably getting close to the end for him...and he doesn't want to go back to the days were he used to say he couldn't bring in more than 6-7 guys that could play....because of PT.

PS ...and then injuries would kill his line-up.

I figure that many games will be getting out of hand quickly (up by 30-40 at halftime) so that he will be able to play a lot of the girls. But it's kind of hard to play 15 and that's where the math comes in. You have 200 minutes per game to be allotted to the team. Even if the starters play say 22 minutes each, there is only 90 minutes left to be split up among 10 bench players. So the best you can do is 9 minutes each, but more likely 3 will play 15 minutes and that means there is 45 minutes for the last 7 bench players. Or about 6 minutes each. And this is assuming massive blowouts and Geno being very Solomonic with his minutes distributions.
