UConn is a 19.5 favorite in this one and the over/under is 139.5. The over/under on Clingan blocked shots is 3 and on Sanogo points is 17.

May even need Richie to step up in this one....from various write ups-
* Jordan Hawkins is in concussion protocol and not expected to play Friday night

* Samson Johnson’s health is also in question after he exited Monday’s game, “dealing with a foot,” according to Hurley, who said he’ll know more about Johnson’s availability before the game.

*"That just means another opportunity for somebody to step up," said Nahiem Alleyne, who is one of those transfer guards. "Anybody, not just us guards. It could be Alex (Karaban), Apostolos (Roumoglou), Richie (Springs) — it could be anybody.

Story from G. Keefe-

3 BU starters are from CT..... Whyte (New Haven), Harper (Stamford) and Zink (Newtown)

You have depth in college basketball so you can use it when needed. Now that it's needed, this will be a good game to see if the guys on the bench can step up.

Sanogo has certainly showed BU who is boss in this game. It's also evident that he got the memo from NBA scouts that he needs to show some 3 point range if he expects to be a high first round pick.

This was a good win. Boston U returns 10 guys from a 22 win team and will challenge Colgate for the Patriot League title. When they whittled the lead down to 12, the UConn teams of 2-3 years ago would have been hanging on for a 8-10 point win. Instead, even with 3 top 7 guys out, UConn could throw enough big and strong bodies out on the floor to bang that lead out to a final margin of 29 points. UConn comfortably covered the spread despite the injuries, made 10-21 on 3s, and Sanogo had 27 points and 15 boards. Not a lot to complain about. Good job Huskies!

Yep.... great result.... especially with 3 starters out and guys needing to step up vs. a Vet Boston U. team that had 22 wins last year & could be a tourney team this one. I especially liked the look that Richie Springs added, who didn't seem out of place at all, given the limited PT he has had so far in his career. He will be needed with Samson's injury.... looking like it could be a longer (weeks).

Springs played well in his minutes and I was surprised he didn't get more minutes than he did. This is a really deep team and the depth is coming through right now as we all saw last night.
