5 Dimes has the line at UConn -20.5. UConn beat UCF by 36 and 37 points in the 2 prior games between the teams this year but Samuelson played in those 2 games.

UCF has a good bench (29 points yesterday vs. Cincy) and has finished both tourney games with exceptionally strong 4th quarters.

That was a pretty good first half by the Huskies, especially considering Nelson Ododa went off with 2 fouls pretty early and Coombs played a lot of minutes. Collier has been a machine in this tourney and it looks like the MVP award is pretty much wrapped up already. UConn is playing better defense in this tournament than they had been in the latter stages of the regular season.

UConn got the job done and just covered the spread with a 66-45 win, but in the second half their energy level waned and we saw the effects of playing the 3rd game in 3 days on these girls. A lot of flat looking shots and much weaker defense than in the 1st half, but in the end they took care of business and preserved a number 1 seed in Albany.

ONO is 100% what we need to win the title. We need her playing SIGNIFICANT minutes and getting boards and blocks if we want a title.

This has been a god send and I hope the other thing that happens is that KLS gets her 3pt touch back. Need both this year.

We all forget that Stevens was supposed to be on this team. We are #1 and undefeated if she was still on the team.

Here is the Register game report. I noticed that Geno exchanged some unpleasant words with the UCF coach after the game and it was due to UCF trapping the UConn bench players after they were subbed in late in the game:

The only reason UCF would do something like that would be to cover the spread, which they didn't. The UCF coach's husband probably had money on UCF to cover. Otherwise why would they do that? The game was over at that point. The UCF coach claimed "we were just having fun."
