UConn makes Cliff Omoruyi's top 5

Ranked 55th in the class of 2020

"They are in contact with me once a week," Omoruyi told Rivals' Corey Evans about UConn.

Evans calls Omoruyi the top available center prospect in the class of 2020. Omoruyi told Evans that the move to the Big East and familiarity with RJ Cole were working in UConn's favor.



Evans Scouting Report:

"He has made great strides in recent years and is more than just a rim presence. Rather, Omoruyi has developed his face-up game where he can comfortably knock down shots to the perimeter and sports a better feel compared to most others in the frontocurt. However, he remains best served as a rim-runner, lob finisher, volume rebounder and shot blocker."

UConn needs guys like this. Even if they are leading the country in blocked shots, it doesn’t feel like the rim is as well protected as it could be. Definitely need more bigs anyway.
