And did he really just say this today ???? You mean you can't run a defense with your DB's 15 yards off the wideouts and

I am not surprised the OC got demoted. The OC has become the new fall guy in college and pro football. I believed 4 NFL teams have fired their OCs this season and another resigned when he was told to change what he was doing................
Blades, let's face facts, UConn is and always has been a basketball school. Football has been like an expensive toy for the kid who already has one of the better minibikes on the market. And now your kid has broken the toy. So what do you do, spank him, or buy him another gift, or try and help him fix the broken toy?
Thanks for your interest in Uconn FB KSTW..... but it wasn't always this way for a FBS new jack just 5 years ago. Uconn was one of the fastest programs to accomplish the things they did in just 7 years at this level with 2 Big East Championships and a BCS game while selling out the RENT at around 97% capacity. Then it was a perfect storm of factors including a fired AD ( F3ck You Jeff Hathaway !) hiring a fired relic from Syracuse who hadn't coached CFB in 7 years and then Warde( who also got out of Dodge
on his own terms) bringing in this used car salesmen that we all fell for....Add that with one constant CR body slam after another like being demoted to this mished-mashed American conference while losing all our local rivals, decades of history and the decent draws( starting with Va Tech, BC and Miami) to bring the fans in... so how much more can any fanbase or program take ?
Maybe if the CT politicians realized earlier like Lew Perkins did in the early 90's and those clueless schills from Providence ( Tranghese, etc) didn't ......that FB drove the bus the way it has in college sport$, the AD would have more time. But if something doesn't change soon, it will start hurting the entire AD and your front runner sports that drive-by FB posters like you choose to reference...And luckily basketball had a good 10-15 year run and a HOF coach ( actually 2, + Geno)when this CR first started so we've been able to sustain it... I can remember when Uconn wasn't even a basketball school, so no it wasn't always that way.
