It's a conversation folks in CT engage in on a regular basis: The Power Five Conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, Pac-12)
and those, like UConn in the AAC, who aren't in one.

"They do a very good job of trying to screw anybody who's not in those Power Five conferences," Auriemma said. "They're really good at it. And they're very successful at it because that's one way to make yourself look even better than you are, is make everybody else look like they suck - and they are very, very good at that."

That's Geno, the head of the nation's top-ranked women's program, the preeminent program in the sport in the country.

Auriemma, UConn Have 9 Title Trophies - Want To See Them?

Well as the old saying goes- if you can't beat 'em.......Oh wait in Geno's case he can beat 'em.....

Geno said something else that was very funny when interviewed by ESPN. He was asked about teams complaining about being in UConn's bracket. Geno said anyone who actually complained about being put in UConn's bracket was guaranteed to lose to UConn by 50 before they ever showed for the game. It should be noted that all of the other highly ranked and #1 seeded teams in the women's game are P-5 teams, although there are some very good mid major teams like Green Bay which are good year after year.
