Vegas Insider had it open at Temple -2.5 and now it's gone to -3 as some wagers were put on Temple. I say just win baby!

I have never seen anyone called for stepping out of bounds with the ball more than Rodney Purvis has been this year. I am wondering if there is something wrong with his eyesight or depth perception that should be checked out. He may need some contact lenses?

It's weird. I don't know what else to say about it.

If they keep up this d & activity on the boards I like their chances, Temple has had some bs fall

Lol, yeah the afterthought recruit is pretty good.

Btw, American ref sighting.

Brimah's Back just fouled temple player's chest on a box out.

Counting the two missed front ends, basically 6-12 from the FT line. And 9 turnovers, not a winning formula.

But they should have confidence from the other night to finish this game.

One of those BS games all the way around!! Smh

I can't stand BSpn!! They keep showing temples "resume" like it matters. They need to win conference tourney like we do to get in. Stop all this bs!!

Ok rant over.....

Game should be a lot closer at half, if UConn had made some FTs and had not had some very sloppy TOs. UConn needs to play with better intensity on D and deny the 3 point shooters. They can win if they do these things.

Aside from a couple defensive breakdowns this is all about the FT and TOs, confident in the 2nd half but just in case I'm changing my drink and my seat.

Wouldn't have bothered me if they put as much effort into making sure we knew the score & clock of the game we're watching

Guys everyone knows both Temple and UConn must win the AAC tournament to get an NCAA tourney bid. The only reason the ESPN talking heads are talking about "tournament resumes" of the two teams is they are now trained to do this in order to maintain and sustain viewership. In other words, dupe the common fan into thinking the game is meaningful so they will stay tuned in. They just care about ratings and make stuff up to keep the people tuned in.

Doesn't look good for us... the rest of the way with our turnovers and these refs and Purvis bone headed defense!

Told ya refs will kick it in gear... then they call a fouls on Vital which puts us at 6 next is bonus and they get a layup out of bounds on illegal screens that Jalen was complaining about... smh

It's amazing how Purv is money off the catch but off the dribble at least feels like a different story. I'd be interested in knowing those numbers

Another great win by UConn! I felt like Temple was folding the entire last 8 minutes and UConn just needed to make a few plays. And they did!!!!!

In all seriousness, they are learning how to compete and finish and the culture is changing, as a result.

There's been a Uconn basketball ball sighting, gents!

Let's make this American tourney interesting. Why not?

Hey this basketball stuff is fun again all of a sudden. Let's keep playing with this fire and things could continue to get even more interesting here down the stretch.

A huge factor in today's win was Rodney Purvis who had 18 points and 5 assists. In his last 6 or 7 games it seems like Rodney has looked livelier on the Court and his stroke has looked amazing. I am wondering if there was some nagging or undlsclosed injury bothering him early in the season because he was shooting very abysmally and he has been lights out the last 6-7 games. But his body language looks a whole lot different to me, it looks like he is very lively moving around. He has also been picking his spots better with his drives - rather than bulling into traffic, he is waiting and finding creases in the defense and kissing the ball in off glass. He has developed a good mid range game to go with his lethal 3 point shot (when open). He is playing like a 5th year senior ought to play.

Andersonfro, I watched the final shot by Jalen again and initially he went to his right but then he crossed over to his left and drove and shot with his left hand:

By the way Brimah set an effective screen which is what freed Jalen to go left and lose the guy who was on his right overplaying the drive to the right. Someone started a thread saying the UConn bigs suck but that sure looked like a screen right out of the Jake Voskul playbook- just stand there and plant and Brimah's screen caused the defender to lose Jalen for the split second Jalen needed to get free. That is called winning basketball fellas and somewhere Jake Voskuhl was watching and smiling because he did that shit all the time, didn't get called for fouls and nobody ever thanked him for it.
