Five-star senior Precious Achiuwa in no hurry

UNC: "They came over to Montverde and we met and talked about obviously what they do at their program and that was pretty much it. North Carolina is one of the greatest programs of all time and I thought that was really something that was different that they took the time out to come see me, talk to me. It's just different once you actually talk to somebody face to face than over the phone."

UConn: "UConn they talk to me a lot. They actually came to see me one time before the season started. (Kimani Young) and coach Danny (Hurley). So they came over to the school to see me."

St. John's: "St. John's has come down to see me also. The entire coaching staff actually came down to see me. I've lived in New York pretty much since I've been in the states and my brother went there. I think it's like I have a connection to them because of my brother, but I still have to sit with my family and decide what I should do for college because me and my brother have different paths and don't have to go to the same spot."

Kansas: "Kansas has been trying to get more involved, but actually Kansas has been there for a very long time. They hit me up all the time, from time to time and we talk. Kansas has been there for a really long time."

I don’t think we have much of a chance with him; seems like Hurley’s recent comments on recruiting are telling

I watched him last night. Had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Also had five turnovers. He actually made a jumper from the elbow Thursday night when I watched him. Would love to see much more of that from him.

UConn was at Montverde Academy last week to see him since they were in the region to play UCF.

good looking out...Had this covered last week from Borges in the 2019 recruits thread:
"Of course, neither is Precious Achiuwa, for whom UConn is making a strong push. Dan Hurley and assistant Kimani Young made the half-hour drive straight from the airport to Montverde Academy on Wednesday night to meet with Achiuwa, a 6-9, five-star power forward, and his coach, Kevin Boyle."

Okay, cool. Glad yall had that update but LOL at half-hour drive.

Unless they had a police escort or made the drive between 2am-6am, there's no way you are making it from MCO, through theme park traffic, navigate the never ending construction zones, to Montverde Academy in 30 minutes.

Yep that drive from the airport to Montverde is about an hour. I live in between the airport & Montverde & it takes about 30 minutes to get to each place from where I live
