Talk about a long road trip, Uconn plays at home today after playing the first 27 games on the road:

Road-Weary UConn Hosts Its First Home Baseball Game Thursday

and from a Boston article:

Uconn coach Jim Penders, who recorded his 400th victory when UConn defeated BC, 8-7, agreed. "We call ourselves road
warriors," he says. "We tell them, 'You're not going to be in Tuscaloosa for 38-40 games.' "Our budgets are such that we can
hop on an airplane and go somewhere. I feel bad for the ( Northeast schools) guys that don't have the budgets to do this. ."
Carson Cross (6-1, 1.49 ERA), will oppose USF's Jimmy Herget in a matchup that should bring scouts to Storrs Thursday :

Also interesting notes on Carson Cross.... turned down 6 figures after being drafted by the MLB Pirates to come back to Uconn
and improve his draft stock after he had shoulder surgery with the renowned Dr. James Andrews. Not as tall ( 6-6" ) as his father who is 6-10" and got a cup of coffee in the NBA... Jeff Cross NBA Stats
