You never like to hear about an unhappy player leaving for better fortunes, but this case had that scenario written all over it from February.

Good luck to Richard Lagow. Here's hoping he can latch on to a program where he can be comfortable and more assured of an opportunity to play.

I wonder if the Huskies try to fill the scholarship like they did recently with Michael Boland....

Really disappointed for Richard. The whole signing day drama, then delay and mostly because from the
day he committed to Uconn he was one of the most vocal supporters/promoters of the school and his fellow
recruits via social media. Wish him all the best, hopes he becomes a star where ever he goes even if he ends
up on the field vs Uconn.

And as you mentioned John Silver hinted a little regarding that scholly possibility yesterday:
"The Huskies do have several players headed to prep school. Don't be surprised if another scholarship
player comes in similar to Mike Boland last week."
SNY- Lagow tweets he's headed home
With as dinged up as Uconn has become at the TE position wouldn't mind seeing Jordan Fuchs head
over and skip Milford Academy before his January ETA. Especially now that he is focusing more on FB.
Though he really needs to add a little more weight and bulk to fit into the teams blocking schemes.

Agreed. Tight end is a huge question mark on the roster. Just wondering about timing of the move though.

Lagow heads to Oklahoma State

Also according to SNY's article:" The former UConn freshman who left school on Tuesday was on campus at
Oklahoma State on Wednesday and will walk-on to the Cowboys football team."

From what I read in the past his father Kyle Lagow, Original Countrywide Financial Whistleblower
reached a big settlement so playing as non-scholly walk-on isn't a big deal to them. But he's reuniting
with his longtime personal quarterback coach, former Texas A&M quarterback Kevin Murray.

from Tulsa world:
" Lagow said OSU recruited him when he was in high school, but did not offer a scholarship.
Lagow left UConn because the Huskies have a surplus of quarterbacks and because it allowed
him to get closer to his hometown of Plano, Texas "

The log jam of QB's doesn't look any better though at OK St., you can only play one and it looks like
they have 2 FR and 2 SO's on the roster.

I wonder about Fuchs position too. He looks like he has the type of athleticism with his hoops background
to be a hybrid type player as both a wideout and TE in a double TE formation. Seems to be around the size
of Brandon Coleman the WR for Rutgers. Especially with the changes that I've seen with TJ Weist's offense
so far at some open practices. Uconn's gone from GDL's 1-2 wideouts to up to 4 in some of TJ's formations.
So your gonna need a bunch of athletes who are big and athletic along with slot guys to take advantage of the
mismatches in coverage.
