Good job by the OL and RB's... Evers is still a work in progress and looks pretty shaky running the ball himself or his offense.
( until he finally tucked one and ran it strait up) Best thing right now, in a game Uconn should have won by at least 14 pts, is that he did a good job "managing" the game since it seems like the coaching staff doesn't trust him throwing the ball ( I get it) and kinda needs to play not to lose at times.
D had some pretty untimely penalties and should of got off the field at key times( including an easy catch but dropped INT) in the fourth but gave up some big plays instead. The most frustrating moment was the gutless decision by Mora to punt on fourth and 2 on the GA St 36. (A choice that is almost never made) instead of showing trust in the OL and RB to get 2yds + a first down to put the game away ! Especially after the ground game (Shout to Mel Brown and Cam Edwards ) had been getting the job done. ( and I get not going for a long FG into the wind for a 17 pt lead....Irony was Edwards ran on fourth and short with under a minute to go to ice it later.)
End result of Mora's "punt it decision" was gaining a meaningless 19 yds on the punt ( minus an intentional delay of game), and giving GA St the ball and nearly 5 minutes to score again to make it a one score game ( which they did, 35-28 ). Plus time left to tie it with an onside kick scramble.
But a win his a win, despite scared decisions and up 35-14 w/ only 11 minutes to go. When GA St. should've never had a chance. Big picture is shout out to the coaches and players on being Bowl eligibly with 3 games in hand !
