Husky Pizza was my go to, but they closed ( I think) during Covid.....so pizza spot across the street from Gampel @ the Student Union is fine !

I am out of date on this topic but when I lived on campus at UConn 1981-1985 (many years ago) there were two choices. There was a place called Pesaro's pizza which was strictly delivery, and a sit down placed called Paul's, which was in the area where Blaze is now located in the Storrs Town Center. The Storrs Town Center didn't exist in the 1980s. There was a strip shopping mall there. There was another pizza place which was good too, further south on Route 195 from Paul's, in another strip shopping mall. I don't recall the name but I regularly ate at these places during the end of the week. Pizza was my main food to eat in college when I deviated from the meal plan which was one night a week. Pesaro's was a popular delivery choice but I thought their pizza was terrible. I also remember one guy in my dorm, a dude who was a pig, who one time had his room fire inspected by the RA and he had 10 Pesaro's pizza boxes under his bed, most with half eaten pies. He didn't even throw them away but was ordered to do so LOL.

I have never eaten at Blaze but I did walk inside once just to check it out. It seems popular.

You guys may not be old enough to remember but at one time there was a small movie theater between the strip mall where Paul's was located and the strip mall where the other pizza place was located. I remember them screening porno films there and in the Student Union, which had a movie room on the top level. Back in those days it was totally acceptable to do those kinds of things. It almost seems like another world from then to now. It's a very different world and very different UConn campus. This thread makes me feel old and dated.
