UConn is losing out on some key in-state talents who I know they liked a lot.

Cheshire Academy ATH Brandon Sebastian chose BC earlier this summer. He has told us that UConn is still talking to him.
CA OL Samuel Vretman (from Sweden so not a CT guy but still) committed to Rutgers
Bloomfield WR Russell Thompson-Bishop committed to Syracuse
and today Windsor DB Justin Pinnock committed to BC

These are the types of players ideally Diaco and staff can keep in state. They did a good job getting Rose, Herring, Dixon, and Coyle last year, but this year the going seems to be a little tougher for whatever reason.

Still a lot of time until NSD, who knows maybe a coaching change at BC allows Sebastian and/or Pinnock to re-open recruitment and re-consider UConn. Obviously with guys like CJ Holmes, Tarik Black, Ben Mason, etc. they are warranted to lose out to Notre Dame, Michigan, and who knows where Black ends up, but Rutgers, Cuse and BC are in the echelon where UConn should be competing with them...
