Appropriate praise for Onuorah for some great screens for Jalen. DO played 14 minutes and had 7 boards, 5 fouls and a whole lot of good man-screens.
DO uses his body better than Wane did. Wane never seemed to fully understand he had a big strong body but was still an effective backup 5. When you have a big strong body you need to be a little mean sometimes. DO seems like an intelligent guy who gets that having a big strong body is not very helpful unless you throw it around and use it. Sort of like a pitcher who possesses a 98 mph with late movement know not to throw a changeup on a 3-2 pitch.
But I get your point, I'm really encouraged by both our grad transfers. Some of our fellow posters want lottery picks ten deep, but you need glue guys like this willing to make sacrifices on winning teams.
