Interesting that Villanova has postponed the next 3 games, meaning their next game after a very very lengthy pause would be UConn on January 15:

This could be a huge break for UConn if it doesn't have its own pause. UConn, assuming no further positives, will catch Villanova coming off a long stretch of inactivity exceeding 3 weeks. Villanova's last game would have been December 23 vs. Marquette, which means if they can play UConn on January 15, they would have 3 solid weeks of no games. It's not what you want if you are a Villanova fan and is what you want if you are a UConn fan.

That's BS- they postponed that game after watching UConn's win at Marquette. They don't want to play UConn coming out of Covid pause so they lengthened the pause and robbed UConn of a NET-juicing game!!!! Calling BS on that!!!!! Villanova is a bunch of pussies! If the game was against Georgetown at home they wouldn't be cancelling it. They are just protecting their seeding and behaving like cowards.

Looking at it now, Jay did Uconn a huge favor this Friday with James not available, think he wants a do over ?

That's the way it worked out but the fact is that Villanova cancelled this game after watching the Marquette comeback and well after they had cancelled the prior games. They came to the realization that it's not a game they want to play after 3 weeks of inactivity and took the chickenshit way out. They behaved like pussies and it should be obvious to anyone who watches the sport.

UConn WBB has already badly whipped the Villanova girls by 40. The UConn men have not had their crack at Villanova. It has been denied, out of cowardice.

UConn should have held out for a late February scheduling when Bouk is back, as retaliation for what Villanova did. What goes around must come around.

This may not be a terrible thing. The less games played without BOUK, AJ and Akok, the better. Especially against teams that can or have beaten UConn.

As of today UConn's NET ranking is 42. What this means is they are in good shape and can milk out this Covid pause for a couple weeks, get Bouknight and AJ back and MAYBE Akok, then be in a very good position for the end of February stretch and Big East tournament. I think it's positive news because they could have lost a few of the upcoming games with the 8 man rotation they now have. If they can stretch this out through the Seton Hall and Xavier games, UConn will then be in pretty good shape to finish the season strong. I say pause it through the game at PC on 2/10, come back with the game at Xavier on 2/13 or PC 2/16, and hopefully Bouknight will be ready to go by then. They then have 8 games to get ready for Big East tourney. I think they only need 13 D-1 games, so only 2 more needed to qualify.
