UConn 0 for 15 on 3s so far this game. I don’t know what the record misses are for a donut game on 3s, but they are possibly threatening it.

USF has 19 offensive boards - don’t recall a higher number this year vs. UConn

When you go 0-15 on 3s and allow 20 offensive rebounds, and still win, only 3 words can be said, which are: “just win baby!”

Wow they can't have nice things, did everything they could to give this one away in the last minutes, missed FT's, fouling a guy 70 ft away from the hoop, fouling 3 point shooters..... true KSTW..... Winning !

I thought Dan said it was the XL Centers fault that they shoot bad ???

To be honest UConn had a very bad call go in its favor as well, Tarin Smith blocked the ball out of bounds and they called it off USF. There was no way it was off the USF player. What sent the ball out of bounds was the Smith block. However it was nice that UConn was on the right end of a bad call. Vital fouling the guy 70 feet from the hoop and stopping the clock was one of the worst basketball plays I have seen this year- defensive hero ball. Throw in the 0-15 on 3s and the 20 offensive boards allowed and I am still in shock that they won this game. How did they get past all of that bad stuff and post a W? I don't get it. I recall a game KO's 1st year when they beat PC despite being outrebounded 55-24, but they shot like 65% FGs that game. This game there is no explanation for how UConn won other than good luck at the end.

In the presser he blamed the 0-15 on 3s on the pressure brought about by the presence of Ray Allen, the greatest 3 point shooter in NBA history. The kids wanted to please Ray, but they served him a donut instead.

I really dont think there is one guy on the team that will be a big part of the teams the next two years. Al maybe because there are just not enough players coming in. These players are just bad,

Theoretically, UConn could have 4 starters returning (Carlton, Polley, Vital and Gilbert), even 5 if you included Wilson, however I believe Akok Akok will start over one of Polley/Wilson. There are not enough bodies to have a completely new team. Law of bodies comes into play.
