Charlie Creme thought UConn would be sent to the Oregon Regional, but with fans no longer attending games, all bets are off and no fans will be attending if UConn plays Oregon in Oregon, thus negating any home court advantage. It seems like what is more likely now is that instead of UConn getting a 2 seed in Oregon's region solely to accommodate 2 seed Stanford and 2 seed NC State fans being able to drive to their regionals, with that now off the table, UConn will get a 2 seed to play in 1 seed Maryland's regional. In other words, they will be a 5 seed overall playing the 4, instead of a 7 overall seed playing a 2 because some other teams need to be accommodated so their fans can drive to their games, which is no longer happening.
