The line on this one is UConn -20.5 and the O/U is 120. Oklahoma is a good club, 7-4 with a win over a top 25 team (by 22 over LSU which was #25 at the time).

With #1 Stanford going down to Texas, UConn will be the new #1 after hosing Oklahoma 97-53 this afternoon.

The scouting report on OU was dangerous 3 point shooting team, TO prone, and poor rebounding team. All of these tendencies were observed and on top of that, they were badly hammered in the second half and UConn got repeated easy baskets in the 4th quarter as OU had no gas left in tank. The last 2 minutes was a layup drill for UConn.

ONO- career high 27 points, 15 rebounds and 7 blocks. She overwhelmed an overmatched, unathletic OU team that was size challenged, but left points out there. She should have had 35-40. Missed some bunnies because she did not go strong to the hole.

Griffin - 14 points off bench, including some great O-boards.

Walker- 17 points, 15 boards

Dangerfield - 19 points 6 assists

The only issue UConn had was allowing Taylor Robertson to go off a little bit - 24 points on 7-14 3s. She is best 3 point shooter in country (47%) but looked totally gassed at the end of the game. OU, to me, was highly disappointing as a team. They are seriously lacking size and athleticism for a power conference team. They may struggle in their league.

Those girls will have earned being #1 in the country. Look at their schedule. They have not played a single cupcake and they are undefeated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fire Geno! ;)

Ono is turning into a superstar in front of our eyes. I’m hoping she’s option 1,2 and 3 from here on in.

Griffin has to play more as well. Her athleticism is just different.

ONO still has a ways to go. This outburst came against a team that has an embarrassingly undersized and unathletic frontline. Against stronger post players ONO will need to prove herself because I felt like she left points out there yesterday with some weak finishes.

I didn’t understand why Griffin didn’t play more in the first half but if you noticed CD was a little bit critical of her in the postgame because she was a big part of that UConn layup drill in the last 2 minutes. CD wanted the ball pulled out and to run time off the clock. It was quite obvious that OU was totally gassed and couldn’t play D at the end of the game and they got needlessly stomped at the very end. Not that I really care that they got stomped but even the UConn players in their pressers said they knew OU was gassed. Griffin’s time would have been better spent working on her ballhandling in the half court set offense.
