The charity game was approved by an NCAA waiver. Tickets for the 2024 Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Game will go on sale on Friday, September 13, via Ticketmaster and at the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office starting Saturday, September 14.

I am presuming they will play this game at night, this being a Monday. I will be there.
KSTW, just a heads up. I got an e-mail regarding donor, pre-public, tix purchase for this event. Ain't exactly cheap for an exhibition game. Here's the pre-sale rates
Lower Level Sideline (Upper Rows Sections 14-17 & 23-26) $84.00

Lower Level Corners (Lower Rows Sections 13 & 27) $69.00

Lower Level Corners (Upper Rows Sections 13 & 27) $49.00

Lower Level Endzone (Sections 11-12 & 28) $39.00

( $10 per ticket fees apply)

Thanks for the warning, but I intend to pay. A buddy of mine, who also happens to be my financial advisor, wants to go, so I have marching orders to get tickets when they go on sale next Friday.

Did your email happen to mention game time?

I got tickets very top of section 108, $68.05 each with all in pricing. I am in the next to the last row from the very top. Looking at the seating chart on Ticketmaster, a ton of tickets were sold yesterday. This game is going to sell out. Going with a buddy we are gonna grab dinner at Tao before the game. I have been there before, food is good but your wallet will be assaulted 1st degree. That's what you sign up for.

I ended up all in too. Picked up 2 top level donor tickets for me and a former co-worker who I get club seats with @ the Rent during FB season. Never been for a college hoops game @ Mohegan, but did go years back when the HS I played hoops for, Windsor, won the state title there. Not a gambler whatsoever, but like you, we'll probably figure out some pre-game stuff to blow money on. LOL !

I am not a gambler either although I do like to look at and analyze betting lines. But as far as figuring out ways to blow money, I will not even have to try. As soon as I walk through the door at Tao, it's assured that it will happen. FWIW here is their menu. I will say their Triple Pork Fried Rice, featuring 3 different porks, is pretty good:

Well KSTW.... we'll be there. But for the rest, I guess even Uconn's MBB exhibition games are in high demand, and even up in Boston !

Here's a pre-game look at the URI roster and numbers from last year. Sean's little brother was busy in the portal w/ 5 newbies.
One of those was the former Uconn center from Canada, who's now at his 4th school in 5 years.

Javonte Brown has only started 11 of 63 games in his college career. Last year he had by far his best season at Western Michigan, but he didn't start a single game, instead getting 8.8 ppg and 4.2 rpg off the bench. I guess he must have thought this was his last chance to be a full time starter:

I remember Archie Miller when he played for NC State. At that time, my cousin lived in Raleigh, and I visited him a few times down there. Miller was a 5'10" shooting guard who was a 3 point shooter off the bench. He was a pretty good 3 point shooter, but he was not a point guard like his brother Sean. Archie was more of a pure 3 point specialist so really more like Joey Calcaterra in role. Most of his shots were 3s.

"Hurley noted that a few players are banged up a bit and, while nothing's serious, that may limit their playing time on Monday."
