Sacred Heart lost their opener at Providence by 46 the other night. The story of that game is that Providence made 16 of 34 3 pointers and had an incredible 31 assists while shooting 51%.

Vegas Insider has the line at UConn -16. Any of you guys put money on UConn to cover the spread?

So much for KO's top 10 recruiting class ( not that Hurley lost them or Enoch) but here's an article on the 2 left:

Old UConn or new UConn......we are about to find out. I think we have a stinker first half and possibly slow start to second half but pull away late to cover the 16 by 1.

Right now UConn is riding Sid, Polley and Adams. Adams’ weight room championship is showing up on the Court- strong moves and plays!

The stench of another season is upon us.
Sacred Heart was abused and looked like a JV team against Providence
Against UCONN..........they look like they belong. They might even win.

Its more of the same
Guys that cant shoot and play without skill
Getting destroyed as usual by a bunch of scrubs on the boards

People actually thought this team had the potential to make the tourney?
If you believe this I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.

The dog poo will continue

UConn was outrebounded 28-13 in that half. That’s really embarrassing. Given those stats they are lucky to be winning this game.

Love Hurley, but being mad at the half isn’t enough in year two. They have to perform.

Well he was mad at the half and it looks like the team got the message. They don’t want to let him down.

Defense and rebounding can’t slump.

Because they are effort and mentally based.

Not the start anyone was hoping for. This team just doesnt have a go to guy.

Vital is out there flexing on a layup.......thats all you need to know about him.

Carlton looked good when they made it a point to get him the ball but they stopped.....the guys with the ball stopped dumping it in which tells you all you need to know about our guards.

PORKCHOP looks like he is still a few year away from getting the IQ up.

Gilbert just doesnt make good decisions

Sid is an athlete and ...........well.......an athlete.

Akok loves blocking shots but 70% get put back in for buckets.......

MAybe Bouk will bring this team up a notch.......he was brought here to do that exact thing.

UConn did cover the spread with some room to spare. The main issue tonight was rebounding. For the game UConn was outrebounded 49-41 by a smaller team.

Akok Akok is not as good offensively as advertised. He is raw. However, Sidney Wilson and Brendan Adams look like they will be major contributors.
