Big games the next two nights for the UConn teams starting with UConn v. #5 Maryland tomorrow night.

I actually think that this could be a competitive game for UConn. UConn is banged up right now. Maryland is undefeated, winning by an average of 41 points per game and outrebounding foes by 21 per game. However, they haven't really played anyone. In looking at their schedule it's actually amazing to me what cupcakes they have played so far- nothing like UConn's nonconference schedule to date.

UConn beat LSU last game by 46 without Stewart, Chong, Butler and Boykin. The latter two who haven't played all year.

If Stewart remains banged up I don't think this game will be an easy win. This could be a very competitive game. Although UConn beat Maryland by 23 in the Final 4 last year, UConn may not be their healthiest right now and won basically playing 6 girls against LSU. This should be interesting and certainly the following night UConn v. Texas will be an interesting and crucial matchup for the men.

Ah yes.... the Uconn women and playing vs. a top 5 school......one more reason the Big 12 would look awfully nice for Geno and the girls..... With Uconn in the Big 12, they would
have 3 of the top 5 teams in the country ....AP Women's Top 25.....and 4 of the top 20..... the AAC by the way has only one other team( #20 USF) in the top 40.

According to the NH Register, Stewart will be in the lineup tonight and Chong is questionable. No word on Butler and Boykin. I am starting to wonder at what point they are going to start deciding on a redshirt for one or both of those two.

Sounds like she could end up at Maryland.......if she wants to be closer to home. It's too bad we never even got to see the girl play.

Maryland played a very tough first half. They are very big and strong up front and Brionna Jones overpowered UConn inside. Maryland also played very good D. This game has become very competitive.

Maryland really playing well and hanging tough. I think this Maryland team UConn will see again in the Final 4. They look very solid in all areas and especially their defense and rebounding and inside strength.

Pretty sure I just saw Andre Drummond greet Geno and Chris Dailey on the court after the game.

This game made me think that the game against USC down in South Carolina is very losable and the loss of that game could result in a second seed. It's looking to me like UConn, USC, ND and Maryland are the 4 best teams. Haven't seen Baylor and Texas, but Maryland looked really good tonight. They are better than they were last year.

There is no way we are a 2 seed this year unless you meant overall. While I don't think we will lose a game this year they are not invincible.
