I watched the end of the Maryland-UCLA game tonight. I was not impressed with the play of either team in the final quarter, but Maryland was terrible and could not make a FG or FT at the end of the game, despite open looks. UCLA got 27 offensive boards, which is a big concern for UConn, and was extremely hurtful to Maryland, whose coach Friese preaches defensive rebounding as a staple of the program's identity. UCLA is a young team, which finished the season very strong. Onyenware is the Bruins best player and had 31 vs. Maryland tonight.

Is that Irwin in the #33 jersey ? Samuelson looks useless, I missed the other NCAA games but man she looks winded and slower than ever (effects of the injury?). Also since when can you bang a player ever time they try to catch the ball or drive ? UCLA has their hands all over Uconn on defense and no calls ? What happened w/ those contact/hand-checking rules ?

KLS and Dangerfield 1-14. Second game in a row they’ve stunk it up. It’s now or never.

Collier’s turned into Shaq at the FT line.

Shitty whistle this half.

Dangerfield was big time when this game was on the line and that's all that matters. Nobody will remember or care about anything else.

Couldn't listen to porky pig on ESPN root against Uconn anymore so I turned on the 97.9 radio cast. They actually mentioned KLS is playing with padding on her back, so that makes sense why she's not 100%... And these WBB officials are brutal, bad calls, one was to slow to even be in position. Like you said CaN, they didn't do Uconn any favors...... True, Dangerfield + I think Geno took UCLA out of their O, with that soft mid court trap.

UCLA is a very good team, and UConn struggled to run offense against them at times. A lot of times they were getting amazing athletic rebounds, jumping over UConn players. This is one of the more athletic teams UConn has seen this year. They just don’t shoot well enough. They outrebounded UConn for the game and that’s why they stayed in the game and took a second half lead for a while.

So happy he took walker out.

Crystal was Onions all fourth quarter. Survive and advance.
