It’s not really clear to me what these records will show, if produced. They will show the amount of calls that were made and the length of the calls, but not the content of the calls. I suppose if someone testified they did not call someone or talk to someone it’s fair to ask for the phone records. Unless we know the deposition testimony of Allen, it’s hard to evaluate this request and whether it’s burdensome. The Judge hearing this dispute will want to read the relevant deposition transcript. Clearly the writer of the above article doesn’t know what the testimony was. So I guess UConn didn’t leak the deposition transcript. But it could become a part of the Court record.
