UConn Recruiting Period visits

I wonder what Coach Ollie will say to Gabriel when he asks about the commitment of Durham? Don't these guys play the same position? Or is there some plan to play one at the 3 and the other at the 4?

I remember reading a while back that UConn was recruiting Wenyen as a 3 - and that's the position he wants to play. Think it could help show Gabriel that UConn will play him on the wing with Durham at the 4.

Is there room for both brown and ike?

A front court of both with durham would be intimidating.

And if Gabriel was added to the mix that would be an insane 3-5 rotation with Larrier/facey still in the rotation

I don't recall a situation with 2 top rated 5s in the same class committing to the same school. Maybe Shaq and Stanley Wilson- can't remember if they were in the same class. In any event they never won anything and UConn blew that team out by 30 in the NCAA tourney, as a 12 seed as I recall. With Rod Sellers at center.

I would be happy to have one of Zach Brown or Ikey Ogiabu. It's greed to want both, and also probably not good for the players or the team. "Twin Towers" deployments have not always been successful in the NCAA tournament, Kentucky last year being the latest team to learn this lesson. Kentucky didn't win the last two years because they didn't have championship calibre guard play. You need that high quality guard play.
